- Rethinking Food Charity: A Community Conversation: Between “Snowmageddon,” the COVID-19 pandemic, and rapidly increasing costs of living, many Newfoundlander and Labradorians are having a hard time reliably affording enough nutritious food. Now is an ideal time to learn from one another and have community-based conversations about the future of food charity in Newfoundland and Labrador. We invite those involved with food programs and others with interest to gather to talk about what we have learned and take a moment to look to the future together. Our Gathering will be held on Saturday, November 26, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Alt Hotel in St. John’s. We welcome all food program providers, including staff and volunteers, and anyone else who is interested in the future of the food charity sector in Newfoundland and Labrador. For more information, or to register, please see foodfirstnl.ca/rethinking-food-charity. (The Venerable Amanda Taylor, B.A.; M.Div.
