Ministry & Mission at the Ascension

      • Welcome: Today we welcome The Very Reverend William Bellamy as our guest preacher.
      • Canon Lynn’s Retirement: As you are all aware, Canon Lynn will retire on December 31 of this year. To celebrate her ministry with the Ascension, we will hold a “cup of tea” after the 11 a.m. service on December 18. You are all invited to join her and Wayne in the Auditorium as we wish them well on the next chapter of their lives!
      • Christmas Tree Lighting & Carol Sing: We will hold our annual Tree Lighting and Carol Sing on Sunday, December 18 at 6:30 p.m. in the parking lot. If you would like to light a bulb in memory of a loved one for a minimum donation of $5.00 per bulb, or in honour of a special occasion, please complete a form available at the entrance of the church (or in your Advent package). Forms must be returned to the office no later than December 14. Thank you.
      • Christmas Memorials: If you are interested in honouring a loved one in remembrance in our Christmas Memorial Booklet, information will be accepted up to January 15, 2022. Please provide your name, envelope number, and the name of the honoree. If you lit a bulb at our Christmas Tree Lighting and Carol Sing, your loved one’s name has been added to the Memorial Booklet. Booklets will be available by January 29, 2022.
      • Iris Kirby House: Today we welcome Michelle Greene, Executive Director of Iris Kirby House. Michelle will accept your generous donations to St. Margaret’s Boat Advent Project. Thank you to all who contributed to this worthwhile cause.
      • Thank You: A sincere thank you to all who contributed to the success of our Country Christmas Show. Special thanks to musical talents Ladylike, Darren Martin, and our own Ascension Choir, who provided spectacular entertainment. We raised $1,425 through this endeavor.
