Ministry & Mission at the Ascension

      • Church Calendars: The church calendars for 2024 are $6 each and available for purchase after the 11 a.m. service each Sunday and at the office Monday to Friday.
        • We are trying to locate Natasha Brown who has booked her wedding at the Ascension. Unfortunately, we do not have any contact information for her. If anyone knows Natasha, can you please call the church office so that we may get in touch with her to proceed with her wedding preparation. Thank you.
      • Parish Network Visitors: We continue to look for volunteers. To date, we have had two people respond. There are no in-home visits required, and phone calls to parishioners would be only once or twice a month. If you are interested in this ministry, please sign up at the entrance of the church or contact the office. Thank you.
      • Potluck Supper: On Thursday, February 22, we are hosting a potluck supper with live entertainment provided by Jacobs Passage. We ask that you take a tag from the board at the entrance of the church and prepare that dish to bring along. Supper will be at 6 p.m. All are invited to join in this time of fellowship. Hope to see you there!
      • Senior Choir: We have resumed our Choir practices on Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m. We invite you to join this ministry if you are interested. New members are always welcome!
      • Confirmation: The next Confirmation preparation class will be on Sunday, January 28 at 2 p.m. Confirmation candidates are reminded to make every effort to attend regular Sunday service.
      • Afternoon Card Party: We raised $731 at our afternoon card party on January 15. Thanks to all who contributed to the success of this venture. The next afternoon card party is Monday, February 5 at 2:00 p.m. The cost is $6 per person. Please bring along your own cards and baskets. All are welcome.
      • Community Supper Take-out Meal: This is a hot, free take-out meal. The meal will be served from the entrance of the Church of the Good Shepherd on Richard Nolan Drive, on Wednesday, January 24. If you, or someone you know, could use a hot meal, please come by, and pick one up. Meals will be available from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.
      • Diocesan Anglican Men’s Association: There will be a service and dinner meeting of DAMA at St. Philp’s Anglican Church on Sunday, January 28, 2024.
