  • Special thanks and God’s blessing on Archdeacon David, Rev’d Lynn, Mrs. Kearley, the soloists, Wayne Courage (for enabling live-streaming), the retired clergy, and all those who contributed in any way to the wonderful live-streamed liturgies throughout Holy Week and the Easter Season.  We are all so grateful that even in our homes, we felt very much the blessings of this Holy Season and a part of our church family. 
  • The next live-streamed service (Morning Prayer) will be on Sunday, April 11, the Second Sunday of Easter, at 11 a.m. via our parish website, ascensionnl.ca , our Facebook page, and YouTube (to find the YouTube channel, type Parish of the Ascension NL into the search bar in YouTube.)
  • All pastoral visits/interactions continue to be via telephone, email, or zoom appointment with either Archdeacon David or Rev’d Lynn.  To arrange an appointment, please contact them by their email or cell phone.  Archdeacon David can be reached at 746-2095 or [email protected] and Rev’d Lynn at 682-8500 or [email protected]
  • Just a reminder that April 23 is the date when Archdeacon David will be sleeping on the floor in support of Home Again Furniture Bank’s Heads Without Beds Campaignand if you would like to make a donation in support of this important ministry to enable families to create homes, you may do so at canadahelps.org/en/charities/parish-of-the-ascension-mount-pearl/p2p/heads-without-beds/team/anglican-east-nl-team/member/david-burrows/
  • Complete details of the recent key messages from vestry are given in your Chimes, as well as on the Parish’s Facebook.  In a nutshell, they are: (1) Two exciting spring fundraisers are in the planning stages.  You will hear more information concerning those soon.
  • (2) Volunteers are needed for the COVID-19 Liturgy Team and the Audio-Visual Team for public worship to open again.  (3) New members are needed for vestry.  If you are interested in being part of this ministry, please contact the office.  (4) The Vestry is very concerned about the financial viability of the Parish.  You are encouraged to support the parish via the Pandemic Appeal; the Appeal as only raised $160 in 2021.
