Living is giving. We live life best as we give our strengths, gifts, and competencies in the service of God’s mission. We are called to serve, not survive. Our giving makes a difference in our families, our work, our community, our world, and our church. Remember that when you leave this earth, you can take with you nothing that you have received— only what you have given: a full heart enriched by honest service, love, sacrifice and courage.
Giving our Thanks and Praise
One mission within the Parish is the recognition of the importance of Giving our Thanks and Praise. This ministry is about inspiring faithful living and participation in God’s mission. Various parishioners have been very thoughtful in how they have been inspired within our Church and are willing to share their thoughts and passion about being part of our community within the Parish. Please take some time to watch the Giving our Thanks and Praise video for some inspirational words and testimonials.
This program is to inspire people to give in various ways as giving has much more meaning than monetary donations. What is your story? Inspire. Invite. Thank. Would you like to share your story to inspire others? What better way to inspire others in the sharing of our stories. In our video there are varied experiences shared. I’m certain there are many other stories among us that are inspiring to others. Let us show others what we do at the Parish of the Ascension and how we impact others.
