Christ is Risen indeed! Alleluia!
“Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” (John 20:29)
May your Easter basket be filled with joy, happiness, and peace this season and always!
A few important messages for you:
- Note the special services for this Holy Week, starting with tonight’s ‘Tenebrae’ at 7 p.m. You will find the list in last Sunday’s Chimes, which is posted on the parish website and Facebook. They are also listed in last Wednesday’s enews.
- You can read the Bishop’s Lenten letter at https://anglicanenl.net. There are also several copies available at the church’s entrance.
- Please note that the office will be closed on Friday, March 29, and Monday, April 1.
- The next 8:30 BCP morning service will be on Sunday, March 31. However, there will be no Ascension Café that day, and the next Café will be on April 14.
- Special thanks again to all those who generously contributed to our Outreach Lenten Project! We swamped the boat!
- If you plan on enjoying the Spring Dinner on Thursday, April 11, and being entertained by The Salt Beef Junkies, you need to purchase your ticket ($30 each) as soon as possible.
- If you were present or viewed the service online last Sunday, you heard Mr. Lovett tell of the desperate need for donations at the St. Vincent de Paul Society food bank. He also expressed his gratitude on behalf of the needy for all your generous giving. So please continue to add to our food bank box which is located at both entrances to the church.
- Don’t forget the card party on Monday, April 1! Just bring the usual – cards, baskets, and $6 – and arrive at 2 p.m.! There will be a bake table there, so if any of you would like to donate some treats for the table, it would be greatly appreciated.
That’s it, folks!
May you all have a blessed Easter!
Jean (On behalf of the Ascension)
