It’s the Easter Season – the season with a focus on hope, renewal, and new life.  It is also the Spring Season, the season when the earth wakes up after a long, cold winter with evidence of new life as crocuses, daffodils, and other spring flowers are reaching for the light and the warmth. Let’s celebrate the ‘new life’ of Easter and the ‘new life’ of Spring!

  • Special thanks and God’s blessing on Archdeacon Nancy, Mrs. Kearley and her choir, and all those who contributed in any way to the wonderful liturgies and the accompanying music throughout Holy Week and the Easter Season.
  • I am sure the online listeners who were unable to attend the services are very grateful to the audio-visual team that enables them to participate due to live-streaming of the services. Thank you all so much!
  • The next Ascension Café will be on Sunday, April 14, after the 8:30 BCP service.
  • There is a free community supper take-out meal available this evening! So, if you, or someone you know, are in need of a hot meal, please come by and pick one up between 5 and 6 p.m. this evening at the entrance of the Church of the Good Shepherd.
  • Don’t forget the Spring Dinner on Thursday, April 11.   If you haven’t bought your tickets, you don’t have much longer to do so.  For just $30 each you can have a wonderful evening enjoying a lovely roast beef dinner and being entertained by The Salt Beef Junkies.
  • Special thanks were received from the representatives of St. Vincent de Paul! They were so pleased with all the cleaning supplies given by means of our Lenten Outreach Project.
  • The food bank boxes have lots of room for more donations.  Please help the needy!  Thank you.

Have a lovely day!
Jean (On behalf of the Ascension)
